Xiaomi admits that Poco F3 GT can overheat and promises correction

Owners of the Xiaomi Poco F3 GT are complaining of a flaw that overheats the phone during use. But the solution is on the way: Xiaomi announced this week that it will provide an update to solve the problem of its new smartphone. Still, it is not known when the fix will reach users.

Details about the failure were revealed on a platform to report bugs in MIUI to Poco. “Heating problems while using the device,” the description of the incident says. Also according to the publication, the problem affects only some poco F3 GT owners who are in the interface version 12.5.4.0.RKJINXM.

Adversity appears over a long period of use or when playing a game on the smartphone. But the impacts of the bug are different between users. In some cases, the phone just gets a little warmer than expected. But for others, reports point to episodes of phone overheating.

In response to the problem, Xiaomi has stated that it will release an “update to the temperature control strategy”. The manufacturer, however, did not say when the update will be made available to users.
