Four colors for the future Google Pixel 9a?
The Google Pixel 9a: an expected evolution
The Google Pixel 9, the next model of the smartphone from the manufacturing giant, is in the making. This year’s leaks disclosed through the Android Headlines website have unveiled useful information concerning this new phone’s design as well as features.
Individual redesign in four enhancements
Apparently, Google Pixel 9a will come in four different color options. Apart from the classic Porcelain and Obsidian or black and white to the layman, there should be two new colors available. These are the Peony, included on the last Pixel 9 and the Iris, a completely new blue/purple one. Well, that means that no more green, as was in Aloe Pixel 8a or blue as in the Bay one.
Revised dimensions
It is also thought that when Google reveals the Pixel 9a it will not only have a new design but a new material as well. However, the actual dimensions of the phone have also been altered, if the rumors are to be believed. Layout wise the Pixel 9a is set at a size of 154 x 73 x 8.5mm which makes it slightly larger and thinner than the Pixel 8a. Of course, this new model looks and feels thinner too, that should be relatively easy to pull off given that it loses Google Pixel camera visor signature as well.
Familiar features
However, there will still be some strangeness in the Pixel 9a’s design In fact, several sources suggest that many of these concepts will remain standard for the Pixel series. For instance, we can assume that will reuse the Tensor G4 present in the main Pixel 9 series, and that it will retain the 120Hz introduced in the Pixel 8a. At the same time, we should expect a 8 GB RAM and 128 GB memory package, the rectangular main and ultra-wide camera modules on the back but large display bezels on the front.
It’s also likely that the Pixel 9a will be unveiled in May at the upcoming Google I/O, according to Google’s previous launch cycles. However, the Pixel 9a’s presentation date remains uncertain, with Google surprising everyone by bringing forward the planned launch date for the Pixel 9 series by two months.
