Instagram starts sale of verified seal for businesses
Businesses looking for Instagram’s verified badge will be able to pay for it. The CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, announced on Wednesday (20) the start of the service, which is priced at $ 22 in the United States, which gives $ 106 in direct conversion. Meta Verified for companies is not yet available in all countries.
Facebook profiles will also be able to purchase Meta Verified for the price of $22. Companies with accounts on both platforms will still have the option to hire the combo of Insta and Face for $ 35 monthly, about $ 170.
Meta Verified Expansion
Meta Verified was announced this year focusing on the personalities and content creators present on Mark Zuckerberg’s platforms.
The idea of the internet conglomerate is that people can attest that they are themselves, even to avoid scams like the fake identity. In announcing the expansion of the service, Zuckerberg stressed that the benefits include proactive protection, access to expert support and features that help the business get discovered.
The format is very reminiscent of X Premium (formerly called Twitter Blue), in which users contract the verified seal and additional functionalities within platform X (the former Twitter, owned by entrepreneur Elon Musk).
Testing phase and WhatsApp
Meta said Meta Verified for business is in the testing phase over the next few weeks. The company has also published a page where interested parties can join the queue.
It was already known that the verified stamp service would eventually contemplate business. It was surprising, however, that Zuckerberg also warned that the measure will apply to WhatsApp accounts. Nowadays, some large companies carry the green seal icon. The initiative requires participation in a special program that includes banks, financiers and telephone operators, among other companies.
The current program is not as comprehensive as Meta Verified, which essentially checks the documents and gives the stamp to those who want to pay the monthly subscription.
