WhatsApp Flows wants to reduce messages needed to hire a service

WhatsApp announced on Wednesday (20) a new feature for businesses, called Flows. With it, businesses will be able to offer directly through the app more advanced options when buying a product or hiring a service, such as choosing seats on a plane or times to make appointments.

Meta says Flows offers the “ability to create rich, personalized experiences.”

By rich, personalized experiences, the company means interfaces and forms that we’re used to seeing on airline websites and apps, health plans, and stores, among others.

The idea is that WhatsApp becomes a more comprehensive and personalized sales channel, without having to talk to an attendant to solve everything.

Thus, the customer does not need to click on a link and go to a website to choose his seat, and also does not need to keep talking to the attendant until he finds out the best time for a medical appointment.

WhatsApp itself will be in charge of presenting these options in a more organized and interactive way.

“There are many possibilities, and companies can easily leverage the building blocks we’ve created to build their unique experiences,” says Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta.

The Magalu Consortium used the tool on two fronts. Potential clients could schedule appointments with consultants using an interface developed in Flows. Already current customers could log in, have access to tickets and make offers, all through the messaging app.

WhatsApp will sell verified stamps soon
The announcement was made at the Meta Conversations 2023 event in Mumbai, India. Mark Zuckerberg also announced the arrival of Meta Verified for businesses.

Initially, the corporate version of the program will include only Instagram and Facebook. For a platform, the price is $ 22 monthly (about $ 107, in direct conversion).

According to Zuckerberg, Meta Verified will also apply to WhatsApp in the future. Currently, only large companies — banks and phone companies, among others — have a green stamp on the messaging app.
