Google Pixel Tablet 2 specs leaked, but its release is still uncertain
Such a future for Google Pixel tablets is pre-ordained.
From this standpoint, it may be seen that Google’s Pixel tablets are in rather vague position. There are speculations that the Pixel Tablet 2 and 3 have been discontinued by Google. In either case, there is the potential for Google to drop its tablet plans entirely.
Pixel Tablet 2 features
The Pixel Tablet 2 should have come with a series of minor enhancements as reported by Android Authority to increase connectivity. This tablet was going to have a tablet version of the Tensor G4 which has been the latest ones specifically designed in collaboration with Samsung. The Pixel 10 next year, is expected to be equipped with TSMC’s self-developed Tensor G5.
A significant upgrade
As claimed, the Pixel Tablet 2 was much improved in comparison to the Tensor G2 not only in terms of performance, but also power consumption. Google was also going to have a cellular version with an Exynos 5400 based 5G modem same as in the Pixel 9 series of phones. A Wi-Fi only version was also going to be released.
New features added to Pixel Tablet 2
The Pixel Tablet 2 was expected to adopt the Thread network protocol meant for the Internet of Things suggesting better smart display compatibility and smart home controller compatibility. Besides, it would have had the same size of an LCD screen; however the refresh rate would have been 120Hz and a bit higher brightness as well. It is also said that the front and rear cameras have been marginally upgraded with 10MP lenses and autofocus on the rear camera alone.
