SONY: HUGE DATA LEAK FROM THE MANUFACTURER, CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS QUICKLY
TARGETING ENTIRE COMPANIES AND INDUSTRIES SONY FALLS PREY TO A NEW HACKING GROUP
, which, according to the Australian site Cyber Security Connect, was attacked by the Ransomed. it is about a hacking team known as Vc group which has been active from the beginning of the month. A blow to this small group, while it possibly may still be connected to other hacker forums or even dark web hackers. ‘We were able to penetrate all of Sony’s computers,’ Ransomed. vc boasts. “We won’t negotiate for anymore ransom! It’s just like what the Sony wants – the data. The data could be bought. SONY DOESN’T WANT FOR IT TO BE PAID – SOLD. THE DATA IS FOR SALE…”
The attacked important data includes images files of the Sony login page, internal power point presentation, Java files but most importantly a tree which includes around 6000 files. HTML data and Java resources would be among these thousands of files. Documents which would be in Japanese and which it is particularly likely that they will shortly be on the Web.
However, when there is no buyer, the label “publication date,” which is promoted by the hackers, indicates that on September 28, this data will be released into the public domain. This image surely came in handy for Ransomed. vc, which would locate the centres in Russia and Ukraine. A group that primarily focuses on large organisations and the motive of data theft is mainly for ransom. Still, in Sony’s case, this American multinational consumer electronics corporation does not appear to have any desire to engage in a dialogue or settle with these hackers.
The Japanese giant has not yet provide its comment in respect of this important case. It has not yet emerged whether this data will spread in the internet over the next days or whether a buyer will be found or the company Sony will be contacted.
