Xiaomi Dreame L10 Pro review, the flagship killer of robot vacuum cleaners

Dreame, a company that in 2017 became part of the Xiaomi ecological chain, has expanded its product range with a series of appliances that offer a lot of power and technology. Among them the new Dreame L10 Pro, a robot vacuum cleaner able to offer not only a great autonomy thanks to the 5200 mAh battery but above all an effective cleaning thanks to the 3D ToF sensor able to detect objects scattered in the room and avoid them.

It washes, maps intelligently and also cleans individual rooms, thus allowing you to forget about normal daily cleaning. All this with a competitive price: despite a price list of 389 euros it is not difficult to find discounts in different stores with a street price of about 300 euros. Much less than the direct competitor, namely the Ecovacs T8 Pure announced a few months ago. We tried it thoroughly on different surfaces (tiles and parquet), with carpets and putting it in difficulty with residues of different sizes.

HOW IT IS MADE
Dreame L10 Pro comes in a rather standard packaging. Inside are also supplied the side brushes, two filters for the dust tank capable of retaining 99.9% of the particles, a tank with a capacity of 270ml for water, the cleaning cloth and the charging base. Small and simple to place, with the foresight to leave 50 centimeters on the sides and about a meter of free space in the front.

On top of the robot there are three buttons, respectively for starting cleaning, spot cleaning and returning to the charging base, in addition to the tower that hides the laser for mapping. The surface finish is glossy and tends to hold fingerprints. Then there is a compartment that hides the dust tank, with a capacity of 570 milliliters.

In front are the bumper, which allows the robot to change direction in the remote event that it encounters an obstacle. Already because the 3D ToF sensor allows you to detect any protrusion, object, wall, mobile preventing the robot from colliding. Finally at the bottom there are a side brush, the tilting central brush, two driving wheels that allow the robot to overcome obstacles up to 2 centimeters and six fall protection sensors. The sensor for carpet recognition is missing.
