Mark Zuckerberg vs. Elon Musk: Who would win the fight that will never happen?

Last Wednesday (21), Elon Musk used his social network to “challenge” Mark Zuckerberg to a “cage fight”. Hours later, Mark Zuckerberg posted on Instagram that he was asking for the venue for the fight. Now, we have the fight that we all want to see, but that will never happen.

Musk said the duel will have to take place in an octagon in Vegas — where the UFC usually holds its biggest events. The SpaceX owner’s taunts came after the “Meta Twitter” reports. As much as fights between influencers and wrestlers are fashionable, it’s hard for Musk vs. Zuck would get off the ground — even if the two of them got even richer from it and UFC CEO Dana White loves to make money.

Musk’s record discredits fight against Zuck
As colleague and namesake Felipe Ventura has written, Elon Musk has a history of promising amazing things and not delivering or delivering on time. When Musk tweeted the challenge, it was pretty obvious that it was yet another publicity stunt by the Twitter owner to gain the spotlight and please his fans. After all, it was unlikely that Mark Zuckerberg would pay attention to the competitor — “now rival.”

Well, Mark Zuckerberg recalled that he also owns social networks and answered the challenge in Instagram stories. “Send the location,” said the owner of Meta. And now the game, or rather the fight, has reversed.

If Musk expected to use the “challenge” to come out as the “alpha” and leave Zuckerberg as “slack,” the rival responded with one from ashi barai (a nice creep): he also puts himself in the spotlight, days before the possible announcement of Project 92, and puts the pressure on Musk — even if neither has anything to lose.

Mark Zuckerberg, despite his history as a nerd, has been dedicating himself to Brazilian jiu-jitsu and MMA in recent years. He even won a gold medal at a jiu-jitsu tournament in May, participating in the master category for white belts. Recently, “Zuck” posted on Instagram that he completed a Murph workout in less than 40 minutes. Physical preparation and experience are not lacking.

Elon Musk is heavier and taller (1.87 versus 1.70) than Zuckerberg. However, size is not document. According to Musk himself, he engaged in “heavy street fighting” in his home country. On Twitter, the SpaceX owner said his tactic to win would be “The Walrus”: lay on top of the opponent and do nothing.

Elon “Chief Twit” Musk’s tactic is good for stifling an opponent, but Silva vs. Sonnen I has shown that it’s no use standing on top of your rival without knowing jiu-jitsu — besides, every fight starts on your feet. Aside from the floor fight advantage for Mark “Reptilian” Zuckerberg, who competed even without a kimono, the Meta CEO gets the better of the exchange. Zuckerberg also coaches this sport.

Thus, “Reptilian” is the great favorite for combat thanks to the experience in martial arts and great physical preparation. The size difference would not be a problem even if Musk tried “The Walrus”, since the jiu-jitsu trained by Zuckerberg was developed not to depend on strength, but on levers and unbalance the opponent.
