Samsung launches Galaxy Book 4 in Brazil with a focus on AI; See Pricing

Samsung announced this Wednesday (17) the new notebooks of the Galaxy Book 4 line. The Galaxy Book 4 Ultra, Galaxy Book 4 Pro and Galaxy Book 4 360 versions arrive in the Brazilian market. The traditional model of the laptop is only expected to arrive in the country in June. Tecnoblog had first-hand access to the products and brings, in the following lines, the summary of what the consumer can find in the devices.

The highlight of the event was the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra and Pro models. The recently launched Intel Core Ultra processor and the NPU AI Engine, which improves the processing of artificial intelligence in the devices, were inserted, according to the manufacturer.

Designed for the gamer audience, the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra comes with a 16-inch 2x Dynamic AMOLED screen, with WQXGA+ (2880×1800) resolution — the same as in the model launched last year — and a resolution rate of 120 Hz. The difference is that, this time, Samsung’s premium notebook gains a touch and anti-glare display – something that was previously exclusive to the Book 360.

The device can be found in two versions. The first, equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 9 chip, accompanied by Nvidia’s RTX 4070 graphics card and the second, with the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and RTX 4050 graphics card. In addition, the Book 4 Ultra also has 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of SSD, expandable via Micro SD, which makes it ready to run graphics-heavy games, as well as quickly process applications that use AI.

In the Galaxy Book 4 Pro, Samsung brings a notebook that tries to win the hearts of those who seek to work with AI. The device has a 14-inch screen, in the same configurations as its beefier brother, in addition to the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and NPU AI Engine.

The difference here is due to the graphics card, which is Intel ARC and the amount of memory and storage, available in 16 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD. Finally, the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra’s battery promises up to 22 hours of video playback, while the Galaxy Book 4 follows with up to 18 hours of battery life under the same conditions.

For the Galaxy Book 4 360, Samsung has brought few new features. The 13-inch screen has been abandoned for good, leaving only the model with a 15.6-inch Super AMOLED display and Full HD.

The refresh rate has halved – to 60Hz – compared to the model released last year. A strange decision, to say the least, since the proposal of the 2-in-1 device is precisely to offer the tablet experience, and the reduction should impact fluidity – especially when the device is used with the S Pen.

The model also lacks some of the configurations present in the Pro and Ultra versions, such as the AI Engine NPU and the Core Ultra processor, equipped with Intel’s 13th generation i7 or i5 chip. The battery can handle up to 22 hours of video playback, with 8 or 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of SSD (expandable) storage.

New AI features are Samsung’s bets
To further help popularize the use of artificial intelligence, Samsung’s laptops come equipped with Windows 11. Microsoft’s system features Copilot, the manufacturer’s own AI chatbot.

Among the features added to the Pro and Ultra models are noise cancellation that uses AI to identify the user’s voice and image remastering tools in the native edition of the Photos app — including an object eraser and reflection remover and studio effects.

The traditional Galaxy Book 4 is the only one that will only be available in June.
